Everything reaches the same place: the form below. It goes to the person who writes the articles and runs the probes, and a copy is stored on this site so nothing is lost to a mail server. Corrections get answered first. Everything else usually within a couple of business days.

What this site does not do

Smoke Craft Lab is a publication. It is not a workshop, a dealership or a contractor, and the form below cannot be used to book any of those. Specifically:

  • No on-site service and no callouts. We do not repair, install, assemble, modify, season or transport smokers, and we do not send anyone to your address.
  • No equipment sales. Nothing on this site is for sale. We hold no stock, take no orders and ship nothing. Where an article points to a retailer, that retailer is the seller and its terms apply.
  • No quotes and no estimates. We do not price jobs, parts, builds or repairs, and we cannot tell you what a shop near you should charge.

Requests of that kind will not get a reply, because there is nothing useful we could say. What we can do is answer a question about a measurement, a method, or something we published.

Manufacturers and retailers

Equipment tested here is bought at retail, and that is the default. If a supplied unit is ever accepted, the article will say so in its first paragraph.

What will not be agreed to, under any arrangement: review approval before publication, a minimum rating, an embargo on unfavourable results, or a link placed in exchange for a product. If those are the conditions, the answer is no. Read the Affiliate Disclosure before writing.

Offers to sell link placements, guest posts or collaboration opportunities will not get a reply.
